Sobur Ajibola

Ajibola Sobur Opeyemi, popularly known as Damzy, is a student leader, youth advocate, and an undergraduate of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), where he is studying Animal Science. He is widely recognized for his commitment to student development, welfare, responsible and responsive leadership, and advocacy for good governance.

Beyond his role as a student leader, Ajibola is an active youth leader who consistently promotes youth participation in leadership and decision-making. Throughout his undergraduate journey, he has served in several leadership capacities, demonstrating dedication, resilience, and a passion for service.

He currently serves as the Vice President II of the LAUTECH Students' Union Government (SUG), the office responsible for coordinating and leading student affairs on the Iseyin Campus. Owing to his leadership and representation, many students regard him as the President of the LAUTECH Iseyin Campus.

His leadership experience extends beyond the university. He has served as:
- Public Relations Officer (PRO), NAKS National Headquarters
- Chief of Staff to the Financial Secretary, NANS Oyo Axis
- Director of Media and Publicity, NAUS Oyo State
- Senator, NAOOS National

Ajibola's leadership journey has also taught him the value of perseverance. He once contested for the position of General Secretary of NAKS but was unsuccessful. Rather than allowing the setback to define him, he used it as motivation to grow, improve, and continue serving in other impactful capacities.

Among his notable achievements, he is widely regarded by many as one of the best Public Relations Officers in the history of NAKS, owing to his exceptional communication, public relations, and networking skills. During his tenure, he successfully organized a secondary school career and orientation programme aimed at inspiring and guiding young students toward academic excellence and leadership.

As a Senator at NAOOS National, he also served on several committees, contributing meaningfully to policy discussions, organizational development, and student representation.

Professionally, Ajibola is passionate about agriculture and livestock development. As an Animal Science undergraduate, he is committed to advancing knowledge in animal production, livestock management, and sustainable agricultural practices. He regularly shares ideas and writes on improving animal productivity and remains eager to learn, research, and contribute to the agricultural sector.

Ajibola believes that sustainable progress is achieved when leadership is driven by service, competence, integrity, accountability, and a genuine commitment to building institutions that positively impact society.

His long-term vision is to become one of Nigeria's foremost leaders, contributing significantly to national development, youth empowerment, and food security through transformative leadership, agricultural innovation, and sound public policy. He aspires to build a legacy of service that inspires future generations and creates lasting value for both his community and the nation.
