Social Flavors isn't just a food blog. It's a food blog about people.

I interview people about who inspired the way they cook, set a table, share, or think about food. We talk about who they cook for and who they learned from. We go deep into their personal history of food through the people in their lives, or their relationships with people through food. The blog is about the family, friends, and culture of food.

I'm hoping that Social Flavors will inspire you to keep talking about the flavors you experience but more importantly will cultivate a dialogue about the WHO of your food.

My former career was as a social researcher in sociology and public health. I have published as an academic but also write poetry as well as creative nonfiction. My interests go well beyond sociology, public health or food.
