Sofia Correa Diaz

Sofia is a 20 year old Chilean girl. She moved to Toronto, Canada back in early 2018 for university. She's a second year New Media student at Ryerson University.

Since she was young, she has always had a passion for the arts. She used to write poems and drawings and then give them to her family.

In her free time, she enjoys writing poems, drawing and painting. She prefers traditional drawing, pen/paints and paper, but she also does digital illustrations. She sometimes even tries to experiment and combine both of them together.

Some of the things she enjoys to draw are continuous line faces, whether they are realistic or abstract, and anything that has to do with nature, such as flowers and leafs.

She is always open to trying new ways of making art such as videography and photography.

For her poems, she mostly writes in English although Spanish is her first language. She occasionally shares poems written in Spanish, but most of them are very personal so she tries to limit herself.

The art and poems she makes are based on personal experiences and life itself. Through her art and poetry, she wants people to see other parts of her and also, in some way, help people who might be feeling the same.
