Student and Teacher in Valladolid, España

Hey, I’m Sofía.

I’m a student of the University of Valladolid, a city in the center of the Autonomous Community of Castile and León in Spain. I am currently studying my master on Education since, two years ago, I realized I love teaching and being in contact with this wide world of apprenticeship.

I live in Medina del Campo (the town where I was born 21 years ago), a little town near Valladolid (50 km away), so I commute everyday to my classes with a friend of mine because we are studying together. At home, we are 6: my parents, my granny, my brother and I. But, yeah, there is a sixth one... my dog, who is, in fact, a member of my family.

I am an outgoing person. I am responsible, reliable and nice.

I am a fan of education, reading, music and fashion. I love going to the cinema and going to the movies when I have the chance.

I’m also interested in horses and dogs. I love the countryside and all the activities which imply to be in contact with nature and animals. I have been practicing horse riding since I am 10.

When I was 16, I started to work in a bar where I spent the whole summer holidays in a village next to mine, so as to know how this work could be. Then, when I started my English degree at university, I was asked to help a child with his English classes, so my second job started. I have been working with children and teenagers since 2013, helping them with their studies and their tasks at school.

I was also volunteering in Scooby, a humane society which takes care of the abandonned animals, for two consecutive years in my town.
