A Tropical Struggle

Writing does not come naturally to me. Usually it takes a lot of time and effort to organize my thoughts into a piece worth handing in. Much like a coconut, my writing does not look very appealing at first glance. It’s very obvious when no effort is put forth, because my work will resemble a hairy brown mass. Although it takes tremendous force to break through my stubborn shell, the content inside is worth the trouble it causes. Similar to coconut uses, My writing is versatile, ranging from creative poetry and stories to research and analysis papers. My writing is unique and takes time and effort to find the beauty inside.

Over the course of my semester, I have written creative pieces, narrative essays on a core belief, literary analysis blog posts, theme-based essays, research projects, and so much more. As I finish my class, I've begun to reflect on the progress I have made in my writing this semester. The selections below are:

>A new piece, not previously submitted for a grade in a format of your choosing.

>An expository piece (Theme based essay or literary analysis blog post).

>A personal essay

>A research Essay

>A reflection piece in the format of your choosing on what you have learned about writing and what you still have yet to learn
