Sohrab Vakil

Sohrab Vakil is a financial executive with a wide range of experience in trading, sales, investment banking to fund management, product design and structuring. He has 26 years of experience in capital markets as well as in the commodities and transportation industries. Sohrab currently sits as the Director and Principal at Ameretat Limited, as well as a Director of Compass Star Shipping Limited, Maxmore Limited and Splendid Star Services Limited in Hong Kong.

Mr. Vakil previously held the position of Managing Director of Emerging Markets and Trading at Cantor Fitzgerald in London. He has also served as Managing Partner at C Capital AG in Switzerland, Managing Director at Credit Suisse Asset Management, Executive Director at UBS Investment Banking, and Director of European Credit Management. Sohrabworked in several positions at Merrill Lynch, managed the Structuring Desk at Nomura Capital Services, worked with Chase Securities for three years and served in the Controllers Department of FMC Corporation in Chicago.

Mr. Vakil is a British national and a permanent resident of Switzerland. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, and has an MBA from the University of Chicago.
