Amerden Environmental Ltd are offering homeowners Free electricity for the next 35 years with the installation of a 100% Free Solar PV system. Many companies throughout the UK have been successfully offering customers freesolar PV installations with the added benefit of using any electricity used from the system at a reduced rate, however at Amerden Environmental we allow all our customers to use the electricity for FREE.

How does it work and how do companies offering such a service make any money? It is one of those situations where you are left scratching your head thinking ‘it’s too good to be true!’ Due to the new Government Feed In Tariff (FIT) scheme that began on 1st April 2010 all owners of solar panel systemsare paid for all the electricity that their solar panels generate. This is called a Generation Tariff and rather than being paid by the Government ‘purse’ which is at risk of cutbacks, solar pv energy providers are paid by the Utility Companies. Every installation’s FIT payments are guaranteed by legislation for the next 20 years and this in turn allows them to provide you with all the electricity generated entirely free of charge.

Can anyone have free solar panels?Unfortunately, no. Most solar panels perform at their optimum efficiency when they are fully south facing, however Amerden Environmental are able to install free solar PV on roofs that face up to 40 degrees either side of South. Although the panels will still work on any roof, they can only fit them for optimum performance as they are paid on the electricity that they generate, hence the restriction on orientation.
