Solly Assa

Solly Assa is the founder and CEO of Assa Properties, a New York City-based company that develops residential, retail and commercial properties. Opened in 2000, the company initially started by acquiring buildings in New York City, including 743 Fifth Avenue and 6 Times Square. Maximizing properties to produce the best possible product is Solly's ultimate mission, and to achieve that, he tries to find the best possible location and position to capture the precise market.

Assa Properties evolved with two developments: Cassa Hotel and Residences located in midtown Manhattan, and Cassa Times Square in Manhattan's Midtown West. These projects have full-service luxury hotels and condominiums with premium hotel services to their full-time residents. With an eye towards building luxury retail and hotel experiences in some of the New York City's most distinctive neighborhoods, Solly Assa continues to source new development projects in New York City and beyond.

Solly Assa himself created the concept for Cassa and tried to capture the best possible product for his audience. Cassa’s hotel rooms are furnished with leather seating, ottomans and black leather studded headboards. An entire floor with additional loft space, the penthouse includes stunning skyline views of Manhattan – overlooking Times Square, unobstructed views looking east to the Chrysler Building, and sightlines that reach as far south to the Statue of Liberty.

Meanwhile, Cassa's residences combine luxury living with hotel-like amenities: several open living areas, spa-like bathrooms, lush rooftop bars, and a fitness center. Additionally, residents don't need to wander far to find top-notch dining services. Butter, led by former Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli, and Bar Gonzo, featured in the New York Times, are prime examples of convenient dining experiences residents have at Cassa.

In the future, Solly Assa plans to expand the company’s portfolio through joint ventures, particularly in Mexico.
