Shantanu Godbole

I am a Researcher with IBM Research - India in New Delhi where I work with the Human Language Technologies department. I am currently an Analytics Architect working closely with IBM's business units in designing, building, and deploying real-world analytics solutions and services. I graduated with a Ph.D. from IIT Bombay in 2006 where I worked with Sunita Sarawagi and Soumen Chakrabarti on my thesis titled Inter-class Relationships in Text Classification. My research interests are text mining, machine learning, information visualization, and building operational analytics systems. I have published regularly in leading international conferences such as KDD, ICDM, ECML, PKDD, CIKM and am very active in professional community service. I am an avid reader, movie buff, foodie, traveler, Trekkie, and Hitchhiker. I am married to the lovely Sucheta.
