I am Som Emmanuel Egyir, a Ghanaian Electrical Engineering aspirant, technology builder, and Co-Founder of GhanaPathFinder. I have a strong interest in Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, software development, electronics, robotics, cybersecurity, and digital innovation.

I am driven by curiosity and a desire to understand how technology works—and, more importantly, how it can be applied to solve real-world problems and create meaningful impact.

I am currently building my foundation in engineering and computer science while developing practical skills through hands-on projects, professional experiences, leadership, and continuous self-directed learning.

As Co-Founder of GhanaPathFinder, I contribute to research, content development, website improvement, marketing, and ideas that help students and young people in Ghana navigate education, opportunities, scholarships, and career pathways.

My experiences as a GIMP Fellow, Health Net Medical Centre intern, and student leader have strengthened my communication, teamwork, leadership, research, organization, and problem-solving skills.

I am continuously learning, building, and exploring new ideas at the intersection of engineering and technology, with the long-term goal of becoming an engineer who uses emerging technologies to develop practical solutions for real-world challenges.

Building & Entrepreneurship

I am a Co-Founder of GhanaPathFinder, a platform helping students and young people in Ghana navigate education, opportunities, and careers.

Through GhanaPathFinder, I have gained practical exposure to product development, research, user experience, digital marketing, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship. The experience has strengthened my interest in building technology around genuine user needs and creating solutions with meaningful impact.

Professional Experience

I have also gained practical workplace experience as an intern at Health Net Medical Centre, where I was exposed to different areas of healthcare, including laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, X-ray, and ultrasound services.

This experience strengthened my understanding of professionalism, teamwork, communication, responsibility, and service, while giving me valuable insight into how different professionals collaborate in a real-world environment.

I am also a GoAlpha Intern Mentorship Program (GIMP) Fellow, an experience that has contributed to my professional development through mentorship, learning, and exposure to workplace and career-oriented skills.

My goal is to become an engineer and technology innovator who combines engineering knowledge, technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving to build useful and impactful solutions.

I believe the future belongs not only to those who understand technology, but to those who can build with it, improve it, and apply it responsibly.

I am still learning. I am still experimenting. I am still building.

But every project, experience, and lesson is another step toward the engineer I want to become.
