Somepalli Venkata Subbaiah was a Telugu Poet, Andhra Pradesh State Government Servant. He is more popular for his works in Naneelu form of poetry. Earlier he served as Mandal Revenue Officer in West Godavari District and then as Deputy Collector in Krishna and Guntur Districts.

Early life:

Venkata Subbaiah was born on 1 May 1958, in Gannavaram Village, Yaddanapudi mandal, Prakasam District. His Parents are Hanumatharao and Nagaratnam. Done his Schooling in Punuru, Yaddanapudi Mandal and Joined Chundi Ranganayakulu College, Chilakaluripet for Degree. Later obtained M.Com privately from Andhra University.

Profession and Poetry:

Started as Sub Editor to a Telugu Daily Newspaper ''Andhra Jyothi'', Succeeded in 1989 Group-2 Examinations and Posted as Mandal Revenue Officer. He served in Pentapadu, Tadepalligudem, Ganpavaram, Tanuku as MRO and worked as Special Deputy Collector to Pulichintala Project. Later worked as Revenue Divisional Officer in Guntur and Narsapuram.

Rachayitala Sangham, Andhra Pradesh:

Venkata Subbaiah along with other prominent writers established Rachayitala Sangham, Andhra Pradesh(Writers Association, Andhra Pradesh) on 13 September 2015 as to form a common platform for all the writers in newly formed Andhra Pradesh. Its first executive council is formed in September and Venkata Subbaiah elected as President.

To promote Innovative approach in Writing Poetry and to Encourage Young Poets Venkata Subbaiah Established Gunturu Jilla Rachayitala Sangham(Guntur District Writers Association) in 2007

Somepalli Venkata Subbaiah Died on 14th December 2023 at the age of 65 years due to stroke.
