• I'm Sonaal nee Sonyaa and I'm from India!

• I'm a Graduate (equivalent Bachelor's degree) in Computer Applications

• Postgraduate (equivalent Master's degree) in Mass Communication & Journalism

• Certificate in Russian

• With over 6 years work experience in the media and communication industry, I've had the opportunity to work in television both in front and behind the camera namely in the departments of production, casting, ideation, conceptualization, anchoring and reporting

• With Mike Pandey's documentary "Fashion -Now and Forever", I got a chance to work as a Research Assistant and Creative Supervisor

• I was chosen by an ad filmmaker from TBWA to act in a short film "The Foreigner"

• Was chosen as Dove's Next Fresh Face,2011 and interviewed for an advertorial in Femina (India's leading women magazine)

• In 2011, my short feature (duration 3 minutes) on the Rock Garden of Chandigarh title - "The Rock of Ages..." was among the 30 finalists for the India Is Global Video Challenge in association with the Public Diplomacy Division of the Ministry of External Affairs,India

• Early in 2012, I directed my first short film (11 minutes), titled - "The Other Side..."

• In my spare time, I enjoy writing short stories, penning poems, revisiting classics,landmark films of world cinema as well as the latest!
