My artistic skills shine bright like a diamond, which is no surprise as I hail from Surat, India; greatly recognized for it’s diamond and textile industries. I knew early on my passion for graphic design stemmed from the vibrant landscape and rich colorful culture of India. Every aspect of my expertise is drawn from the lively elements of my background such as the distinctive rugs, paintings, clothing, architecture and food. In 2007 I attended the University of Tennessee, where I received BFA in Graphic Design and Studio Art. Following graduation I accepted a dream design position in New York City. I worked as a Game Graphic Designer at Fantage, a virtual gaming website company that targets children. My love for color was a primary reason for working at Fantage because I was able to pull inspiration from my experiences growing up as a young girl in India. There was no limitation to the creative process at Fantage and that propelled Me to want to thrive. My love for growth and sophistication fostered, henceforth, in 2012, I attained my Masters in Design and Product Design in Milan, Italy at the prestigious Domus Academy. Spending a year in the city of romance pushed me to put down some roots of my very own with my then boyfriend of seven years. On January 21, 2013 I married Maulik Kapadia, a Mechanical Engineer, in our beloved homeland of India. I and Mauilk subsequently moved to Boston, Massachusetts for our individual occupations. I currently works at Nizhoni Health Systems, a homecare agency, as the lead Marketing Graphic Designer where I am responsible for creating and implementing strategic marketing materials to include web, print and social media. I cultivate my art with freelance design work, which includes painting, illustrations, photography and printmaking. Nonetheless, my ultimate goal is to open up my very own Stationary Design Studio. My best childhood memories are creating traditional greeting cards from scratch for my parents. Pulling inspiration from my surroundings enabled me to develop my own niche to the personalized technique. When I am not busy advancing craft I am traveling to various countries with my husband Maulik, shopping on Boston’s most fashionable Newbury Street with my girlfriends and cooking my favorite cuisines.
