I am a minor player in a major production, tentatively entitled, 'Life'.

Author, reader and observer. That encapsulates me. For more, here's a quick bio. Oh - and you'll find short story samples under the GPlus link below!

Imagine Media Services, Inc. was a full service public relations, copywriting and advertising agency. Clients included Whitfield Pellet Stoves, Quadra-Fire, Travis Industries, (manufacturer of Fireplace Extrordinaire, LOPI and Avalon hearth products, including wood, gas and pellet burning stoves, fireplaces and fireplace inserts.) Other clients included Penn Cove Mussels, Microsoft (as an early start-up), Bellevue's Market Communications, Interconnections, and many smaller, niche market manufacturers and services providers. Their products ranged from fish food to non-dairy ice cream; and service providers included alternative medicine counselors and healers as well as psychologists and engineers. We billed ourselves in the yellow pages as an 'Uncommon Agency', and we were. No monthly retainers, only projects billed by the hour and bids honored on all projects. This allowed for a more compassionate, ethical agency, affordable to even the smallest business, which was my goal as I watched Bellevue build a skyline and I learned a great deal about a great many things. It was a fun and exciting time to be in business in the Bellevue, Redmond and Kirkland area. I am proud of Imagine Media Services, Inc., which taught me you can start with an undergrad degree, a desk, phone and small leased office space. My graphic artist and minority shareholder, Gary Webster, was every bit as much a part of its success, and I sold the company to him in 1990 and moved to the new, just-as-exciting world of the Oregon coast. I lived literally on the 45th parallel, halfway between the Equator and the North Pole. I remodeled a cottage on my property and created The Cottage at Roads End, an oceanview retreat for writers and visual artists. As I began to write my own words at last—fiction, poetry and essays—with wonderful, ever-changing company just across the drive and went for my Antioch MFA, I was still in the midst of many people who had much to teach. Because I believe Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's lyrics: "Life is for learning."
