Stay hungry, stay foolish. The quote from Steve Jobs always inspires me during my college years. To be more specific, I believe it told us to be curious and patient, by showing our willingness to know the world and remembering that good things take time.
Being curious is essential and that’s why I chose to become an exchange student to Montpellier. As an undergraduate whose major is language-related, I always regard that experiencing the foreign culture is the best way to learn. Since I took French as my second foreign language, I decided to take a French school, which could not only bring me a completely different study and life environment but also an unpredictable experience. Therefore, I came, I learnt, I live.
As a student who likes to take part in different things, I once entered the Sunflower Voluntary Group. Through my past experience working in it, I’ve found the greatness of being patient. As a piano teacher who ought to teach kids who came from poor families, at first, I always got impatient. However, as time went by, I started to like the kids and willing to repeat the answers for them. It was a great honor for me to devote myself and share my experiences to the others. In my opinion, it is not the result we should see to but the process matters more.
Besides Apple which is the company Steve Jobs founded which everyone of us is familiar with, Pixar, the animation studio, is also a great work of Jobs. As a huge Toy Story fan, I’ve read and watched many stories about Pixar. What intrigued me was the everlasting new ideas from their works. I wouldn’t say I am a creative or brave person, but I am always working hard to fulfill it. I believe everyone could see their dreams come true through the efforts because the potential of themselves is infinite, just like Buzz Lightyear always put, to infinity…and beyond!!
