Sonia Roach

Hello,

My name is Sonia Roach, I am 27 years old. I work as an early special education teacher. I teach children whom age ranges from 3 to 5 year old. Who have been diagnosed with autism and/or speech impairment. The focus of my class is to get students in a structured environment, where me along side my Para-educators we run discrete trials with our students, and other types of work that aid our students in their transitions to their future classes. As a teacher I get to work along a Speech Pathologist, Behaviorist, Occupational Therapist, and other Special Education Staff. Our job as a team is to make sure that our students succeed.

Starting this school I will begin my second year as an early special education teacher. I have worked in special education for a total of 5 years. During this time I have been able to work on and apply lesson plans, behavior plans, different types of reinforces, and so much more.
