Sonia Gulati

A graduate of Columbia University in New York, Sonia Gulati earned her bachelor's and master's degrees, followed by a doctorate in metabolic biochemistry from the institution. During her doctoral studies, she earned honors, such as Elsevier Award for Best Oral Presentation by a Young Investigator and the Marija Chouinard Award for Excellence in Research. Sonia Gulati has also authored or co-authored several peer-reviewed publications. Following her graduation, Dr. Gulati continued her research at Columbia University as a postdoctoral fellow. Subsequently, she launched her career as a consultant at BluePrint Research Group, a boutique healthcare consultancy. Then, in 2016, she pivoted to life science venture capital, becoming an Assistant Director at New York Ventures. Since March 2019, Sonia Gulati has served as an Executive in Residence at Kairos Ventures. In this position, she works closely with founding scientists to develop and execute on a commercialization strategy with the goal of helping early stage companies reach key commercial milestones.
