Herzlich Willkommen!

I am an aspiring polyglot whose professional interests lie in the intersection between science and business.

The motto that I live by is to never stop seeking new challenges. During college, I found that consistently pushing myself out of my comfort zone was the most effective method for personal growth. It led to a collection of university experiences that I will always remember, such as training for over 60 hours to become a volunteer for a student-run counseling/referral hotline, experiencing manual labor during a public health brigade in a rural Nicaragua, fumbling in tortured German to a patient table of German university students, and growing into a person who can act first to break the ice when needed (rather than a shy girl looking for the best corner to hide in).

My extracurricular experiences at Rutgers have taught me about civic engagement, energy management, project management, and conflict resolution. I will be attending Johns Hopkins for a MSPH in Health Policy starting Fall 2015, and I'm incredibly excited to be starting my public health career!

Currently working on: becoming a mega-connector, reading at a kindergartener's level in Chinese (as opposed to being illiterate), and better understanding what motivates certain behaviors.
