Having recognized the power of make-up at an early age, Sonika used to observe her mother's and sister's daily beauty ritual and discovered the dramatic difference that make-up can create. Finally, at the age of 14, when she was allowed to try eyeliner herself, she looked in the mirror and saw a different person looking back at her. From that moment, Sonika was hooked on make-up and the sense of confidence it gave her.

Ever since, Sonika never stopped experimenting with make-up. It is then she realised that every woman can be an artist, treating her face as a living canvas. To her, make-up is definitely a form of art, the only difference is it’s on a moving canvas that changes throughout the day. It is an extended form of self-expression, and a powerful tool that shapes how we see ourselves.

Driven by this passion for make-up and beauty products, Sonika decided to share her experience and knowledge on the products that she comes across. The idea for this sprung out of her desperate quest on trying to find real reviews on certain products that she was interested in. Ultimately, Sonika decided to provide hands-on reviews and easy access to her favourite products via Sonika's BeautyBoxes.
