Sonila Baha

Sonila Baha, Violist, was born in Lezhë, Albania on November 22, 1994.

She started her first studies in the Viola instrument at the age of 12 at the music school "Jordan Misja" in Tirana, under the guidance of two teachers, Elisabeta Uka Isak and Aferdita Shehu then continuing his studies of "Bachelor" and "Master" at the 'University of Arts in Tirana, with Maestro Arben Llozi.

She finishes her studies with excellent results, passing the entire program of Viola. Her sound and her varied technique then brought her to Italy, where she won a place in the class of the famous Professor and critic of music, the Violist "Bruno Giuranna", where she studied at the "Walter Stauffer" Academy in Cremona for 3 consecutive years.

Sonila has actively participated in several Masterclasses with Professors like: Alphonso Ghedini, Simon Rowland Jones, Fierman Leimer, Adrien Boisseau, Arjan Paco, Simone Gramaglia, etc.,

She is awarded as First Prize in the “Tirana Talent Competition 2010", "Tadini International Music Competition" Lovere, Bergamo, "Pjeter Gaci Competition", Grand Prix at the International Competition "10 Minutes in Instrument Solo" Pristina, Kosovo.etc..

Partecipated at various festivals such as "Magic Flute Tirana", "Nei Suoni Dei Places Udine", "a Tu per Tu,Parma", "Albania KamerFest Tirana", "ESTA Festival 2019 Cremona”, "Tribute of Cremona 2019 with the Great Violinist Salvatore Accardo", "Biennale Durazzo 2017,2021", "Concert Society Trieste", etc.

One of the greatest successes of her career is the participation in the advanced course of Viola at the "Chigiana" Academy in Siena, where Maestro "Giuranna" conferred it the "Diploma of Merit" 2018, 2019 for both years of her participation giving her tremendous appreciation and motivation.

She is an accomplished musician with excellent command of her instrument, with depth, imagination and expressiveness projects exceptional musical qualities.

She is currently “Principal Viola” of the Vratsa Symphony Orchestra, Bulgaria.
