Our Mission

In partnership with our Police Department and the local community, Sono Alliance will work to promote open communication, education, cooperation to improve the quality of life, promote unity, encourage respect and make Norwalk a safe community.

The mission of this group is to formalize a working relationship between the Norwalk Police Department area clergy and neighborhood groups to:

• Form a partnership that will build trust and respect between the police and the community.
• Reduce crime
• Enhance public safety

Utilizing community assets, the goal of the group is to address the gang issue in Norwalk by reaching, assisting and transforming identified individuals and areas. Through this collaboration of the clergy, police and the community we aim to build a system of community support that will improve and create healthy neighborhoods.
