Son on the Spectrum

I am a 23 year old single mom raising 2 sons. My 7 year old (E), had been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (among other diagnosis's). My 6 year old is a neuro-typical.

E is a High-Functioning Verbal Autistic, with other diagnosis's of: Sensory Processing Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder, Phonological Processing (a type of reading disorder).

In this blog, we speak about our experience. We speak for ourselves only. I'm not going to sugar coat things, or pretend everything is ok. It's not always ok. When I'm watching him run around at the park and enjoy himself, it is ok. When I'm having to pick him up from school because of a meltdown, it's not ok.
