Sophia Diaz
I am currently a first-year MBA student at the Wharton School interested in pursuing a career as a Brand Manager in CPG, following six years as a strategy consultant.
I went to Northwestern University where I majored in Sociology which was the start of my interest in the consumer. During the summer of my Junior year, I interned at Target Corporation as a Merchandising Planner. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed working with tangible products that consumers interact with.
I decided to go into consulting to develop a broader, more analytical business foundation after school and get experience in multiple industries. After six years, I was placed on a consumer segmentation project and with the goal of understanding how to get consumers to trade-up which re-ignited my passion for consumer goods and I decided to come to Wharton with the goal of pivoting into Brand Management.
I will be spending the summer at Colgate-Palmolive in NYC as a Marketing Brand Management Intern.
