Sophia Solovyova

Sophia Solovyova, Esq. handles all aspects of Immigration Law, specializing in deportation defense and criminal immigration. An immigrant herself, Ms. Solovyova is actively involved in the community and has a strong ability to relate to her clients, easily overcoming any cultural or linguistic barriers. She enjoys the complexity of Immigration law and continuously stays on top of new developments in the field.

Ms. Solovyova holds a J.D. from the City University of New York School of Law, where she received a number of awards, including the Revson Public Interest Fellowship, the Queens County Bar Association Scholarship, and the NYC Bar Association C. Bainbridge Smith Scholarship. She served as a member of the CUNY Law Review and participated in the CUNY Law School Moot Court. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Solovyova earned a PhD in Russian History at the City University of New York and taught History for several years.

Ms. Solovyova is admitted to the New York and New Jersey Bars and is a member of the New York City Bar Association and CUNY Law Resource Network. She is fluent in Russian and conversant in Spanish.
