Sophia Tsai

I have recently graduated from SFU with a degree in biology. Throughout my undergrad I have explored and found two of my greatest passions: working with students/people and science/healthcare.

I hope to be able to work in public science education or in a research lab at BC Children's Hospital. As somebody who is heavily involved in organizing a Children's Miracle Network event called SFU Dance Marathon, childhood illnesses are the most devastating in my opinion. In addition, having worked in several research labs, I understand how time-consuming and expensive research is. Thus, I believe if we increase awareness of pediatric illnesses and ways to decrease risk while improving research, we would really be taking a step in the right direction - towards a world with no sick kids.
