I'm 22 and doing my master's degree in Media and Communications at Media@LSE. I have a BA in Media, Communications and Cultural Studies (Newcastle University). I'm interested in researching transnational media and culture and their role in constructing identities.

I've also researched and worked in the education sector. My undergraduate dissertation research concerned the social significance of humour in higher education parody advertising and was awarded the Media Department's Prize for Best Dissertation in 2014. From June 2013 to April 2014, I worked as a Social Media Strategist Intern at Pickle Jar Communication (Newcastle upon Tyne, UK), producing social media content and conducting competitor analysis for higher education institutions. In October 2014, I joined A Star Future Ltd (London, UK) as an Administrative and Marketing Assistant. My main role is to coordinate school visits around the UK and markeing materials of international universities.

I've got daydreams galore: being a researcher, a backpacker, a good cook, a writer, a photographer and an activitst. Can all of these identities be fit in one life? I've been told to be more realistic, but the either-or logic isn't an emblematic feature of my strange little world. I choose to be unconventional.
