Sophia Horwitz

Community development practitioner and project coordinator, Sophia has spearheaded transformation projects in Cuba, Honduras, Canada, Turkey, the Netherlands, and Sweden. Through participatory processes Sophia engages multi- stakeholder groups around complex issues ranging from urban design, sustainable development, and social innovation. A strong networker, savvy in building relationships between disparate parties, her specialty lies in facilitation, strategic sustainability planning and community empowerment. Her passion for a more humane, equitable, and engaged world drives her to pursue holistic projects and leading organizations with local co-action and a global systems thinking perspective.
