Sophia Joanna Dodd is majoring in business enterprise management/analytical consulting at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She is a setter on the varsity volleyball team, but due to injury, is unfortunately sitting out her senior season. Sophia Joanna Dodd attended the Wake Forest PEBL program, studying in Edinburgh, London, Paris and Barcelona during the summer of 2015. Sophia Joanna Dodd was born in Salzburg, Austria, and calls the Chicago, Illinois-area home.

Dodd attended Saint Ignatius College Prep high school in Chicago and was a four-year varsity starter on their volleyball team. During her time at Saint Ignatius, she was named to the GCAC All-Conference team every year and was the 2012 GCAC Player of the Year. In 2012, she was also named a "Top 100 Senior Ace" by the website Prepvolleyball.com as well as being named the MVP of the AAU 16 Open National Championship in 2011, after her club team won the championship. During her high school years, Dodd was also a leader off the court as class president and was awarded the best female athlete at graduation. She participated in many service projects both through the school and her local community.

While at Wake Forest, Dodd founded the Real Estate Club and is a member of the Finance and Marketing Clubs. In addition, she held internships in sports marketing and real estate finance. Moreover, Sophia Joanna Dodd is a member of Chi Omega sorority and is involved in many philanthropies including Wake N Shake, which raises money for cancer research.

Dodd ‘s hobbies include sports, cooking, travel and adventure.
