Sophia M.
Student and Nurse in Knightdale, North Carolina
Hello!! I am Sophia.
I am in my final semester of nursing school. Graduation will mark the beginning of life-long educational and career goals as I seek to advance my overall knowledge in nursing and healthcare. My short-term and long-term career goals include, but are not limited to: providing high-quality, holistic care, educating my patients, and completing a Nurse Practitioner program by 2022. I look forward to being involved with committees and nursing associations to help improve the impact that nursing has in the healthcare community. If you are interested in learning more about my professional aspirations, connect with me on LinkedIn.
While attending nursing school and being employed full time, I still find time to do things that I find joyful and relaxing.
Fitness is an essential part of my daily routine. It is stress relief before and after a long day. Outside of the gym, I enjoy dancing, martial arts, and athletics. I played women's flag football for four years, which also speaks to my competitive nature. In 2015, I participated in my first Spartan race. This was by far the most difficult challenge my body has endured. Nonetheless, I welcomed the challenge and loved each moment. The feeling of accomplishment when crossing the finish line was an unparalleled experience.
I also enjoy preparing and cooking all types of food. Each meal prepared for my family is filled with love and care. I try different combinations of ingredients to add a personal touch to my favorite dishes. I also enjoy revamping recipes that I find in cookbooks and online to add some variety to our meal menus.
