My name is Sophia and I am a fourth-year student at the University of Oregon studying journalism and global studies.
I am passionate about communications and work on the University of Oregon social media team, creating content and writing stories for Instagram and for Around the O.
Currently, I am the managing editor at Flux Magazine, an award-winning publication that produces in-depth stories for students and Oregonians alike.
In my free time, I work as a podcast editor and producer at the Daily Emerald. I am passionate about audio work and podcasts specifically (I listened to over 33,000 minutes of podcasts last year).
I am also a photographer at Align magazine, a fashion magazine at the University of Oregon. This has been a fantastic opportunity to take photos in a more creative way than traditional photojournalism.

On the weekends, I spend my time skiing, drinking wine with my roommates, and playing with my bunny, Chive. I love to cook and in the summertime, garden.
