How many people are in your family? Who are they?
I come from a family of four. My mother is a Japanese Language intstructor and International Student Coordinator at Wenatchee Valley College, my father is an independent agricultural consultant and entomologist, and my sister is a passionate figure skater, violinist, and a future Coug!
Why did you choose WSU?
I chose Washington State University because of the incredible personal energy that abounds on campus. When I first visited, I was initially intimidated by the size of this place - I will admit, it's HUGE. However, it quickly became clear that there was definitely a friendly, social environment here at WSU.
What is your fondest WSU memory thus far?
Cougar living has been anything but boring! The best memories I will take from my time at WSU will be the many adventures I had during my first semester living here. There is something about the first time doing anything - especially in college life - that will always stay with you.
What advice do you have for new Cougar parents?
Nerves, hesitation, and fear are not all too unfamiliar feelings for a new college student. However, that shouldn't stop anyone from making their time here at WSU the time of their lives. For parents, showing interest in your student's life is one of the best things you can do. Excitement and interest in what they are doing, who they are meeting, and how they are going about their day all create a feeling of purpose and accomplishment that works wonders.
And now for some tidbits!
