My love for singing began when I was 10 after joining Spelthorne Young Voices (SYV), a community based youth choir. I was gradually introduced to basic singing techniques and singing in harmony. During my time with SYV I performed frequently including concerts at venues such as Guildford Cathedral, Eton College and the O2 Arena.

Choral Directing experience:

When SYV expanded in Sept 2006 to form a new Junior Choir, I shadowed the Director Neil Ferris (current Head of Choral Conducting at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama) until Rachel Staunton took over in 2009 when I was asked if I would become a music assistant. Under her tutelage I undertook more choral responsibility and became Assistant Director. Aside from conducting at SYV concerts, my formal conducting debut was at the Royal Festival Hall with SYV Junior choir and following that I led them during a concert at the Royal Albert Hall with the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain (NYCGB).

In 2013 I began working with local schools to setup and run choirs and vocal groups and in 2014 I was invited to shadow Rachel Staunton and Suzi Digby OBE in their work setting up the London Youth Choir (LYC). I also joined the main choir which has given me the opportunity to be directed by Ken Burton, perform alongside Ellie Goulding at WE Day UK at London's Wembley Arena and sing in the choir for the BBC Proms performance of Benjamin Britten's 'War Requiem' at The Royal Albert Hall.

In the Summer of 2014, I re-joined SYV's Senior Choir to work alongside their MD and Co-Founder Jo Gardner as Assistant Dir., and I also worked as an intern for the Voices Foundation.

As if this wasn't enough I've been invited to work closely with Suzi Digby on a new project that will launch next year and I have set up a ladies choir called Belle Voci who are now in their second term. http://bellevocistaines.wordpress.com/
