Sophie Green

I'm a hardworking 22 year old, actively seeking a rewarding career.
I have been interested in the arts since my childhood, and studied Design and Photography within further education; therefore I have a creative mind, am always budding with ideas and I am used to working to deadlines. Many teachers in my education told me that I have a flair for design; my A Level photography teacher often commended me on my natural creative ability and eye for composition.
I taught myself to use Adobe Photoshop Elements from the age of 14, and can navigate fairly around CS5. I am a quick learner and would love the opportunity to develop my existing skills across other design programmes.

I have been in employment since the age of 13 and have been raised with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
I have been in full-time work for the East of England Co-operative Society for the past year which has given me an insight into how hardworking I can be. I have learnt a lot from a driven and passionate management team, and seen first hand what it takes to successfully run a business.
Customer service and satisfaction is a priority for me, and I am confident in communicating with colleagues and customers as appropriate. I have often been commended for my ability to work on my own initiative; in my current role my manager told me she was impressed with my initiative after only a few weeks into the job.
The company has a Sourced Locally scheme where they market and sell products from local businesses, alongside their own and recognised brands, which is a quality to the company that I really respect.
My goal is to have my own business that focuses on creating success for small and local businesses through branding and marketing.

Outside of work, I have a passion for music and anything creative. I enjoy going to gigs and live music events, with my family or my friends. I've recently started playing guitar again, which inspired me to take up hobbies that I used to enjoy. So far I've added cross-stitching to my evenings, but I hope to start illustrating and playing piano again in the very near future.
I also enjoy cooking and baking, my signatures being stir fry and cupcakes.

I strongly believe I would be an asset to any business and would love the oppurtunity to learn more about design and marketing, forming the basis to a successful career.
