I am an applied anthropologist on a mission to bring anthropology to the world! Years ago anthropology was about travelling to far away destinations and bringing back stories and understandings of 'The Other'. It was a process of 'making the strange familiar', whether that be the culture, rituals, costumes, gender roles or belief systems. I want to make the familiar strange - asking why we do what we do in contemporary settings.
