Sophie Li is a creative AND copywriter with 5 years of marketing experience in standing brands out in people's minds through 3 core capabilities:
- Conceptual Creativity
- Brand Storytelling
- Communication Strategy
In the past 5 years, Sophie has been working in major advertising agencies raising the profile for brands such as Pampers, Quaker Oats, Alibaba, Tropicana, MasterKong, Costa Cruise, Disneytown, Gymboree, SPD Bank, Shanghai Trust, etc.
Her creative forays spanned above-the-line print & commercial, digital marketing, social media engagement, editorial content, experiential marketing, out-of-home, e-commerce retailing, public relations, influencer marketing and ad production.
She did over 30 projects in just 4 years. The stint sharpened her into a diehard multitasker, a driven quick learner and a devout team player.
In 2017, Sophie won the ROI Festival Gold Award for the social film “FLY” that she created to launch Alibaba Travel. The film garnered thousands of shares and likes, plus overwhelmingly positive word-of-mouth for Alibaba.
Born in China, Sophie grew up and became a citizen of change. She acquired a master's degree in public relations and advertising from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Then she flew to Berlin to hone her English copywriting skills at Miami Ad School for one year.
Now Sophie is an in-house copywriter of the direct-to-consumer e-commerce fashion brand Hip Optical. She writes captions that start conversations; she produces press releases with catchy headlines; she outreaches to influencers for collaborations and does media pitches to make Hip Optical the talk of the town. Oh and when things get really busy in the office, she jumps in to help answer customer calls because she enjoys troubleshooting and making people feel heard.
From advertising agencies to in-house marketing team, Sophie enjoys herself every day solving problems through creativity. She calls herself lucky because she does what she loves for a living.
