I'm not one for cheesy quotes to describe my life, but if I had to choose just one, it would be from good ole Dr. Suess. A wise man once wrote a children's book called "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" which seems to be a silly rhyme like the rest of his collection of books, but this one particular book acts as my life in a nutshell. Something fortunate I grew up with was traveling the world. I could be found anywhere from Paris, to New York, to Hawaii, or my favorite place in the world, Colorado. I grew up lucky enough to be able to travel a lot, and be able to appreciate the beauty of our world from an early age. The wonderful memories I have affiliated with each and every trip I have taken inspire me every day to do well in school and to be successful so that I can one day take these trips on my own. I enjoyed all of these beautiful places with my family, but I imagine experiencing them by myself will be absolutely extraordinary. As Suess said, “You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.” I want to be able to discover places I’ve never been to before, people I’ve never met, and the cultures and religions I have not had the chance to live by. These are all things that have stemmed from my love of travelling, which shapes a big part of who I am today and someone I strive to be.
