Soraya Ahyaudin

Soraya is a first year student in the Masters of Public Diplomacy Program at the University of Southern California. Previously, she worked as an Assistant Registrar with Universiti Sains Malaysia in the International Office for four years, and then for four years as the Assistant Director with the Public Service Department of Malaysia. Her diverse work experience has exposed her to public diplomacy in action, and cultivated her interests in cultural and exchange diplomacy, the role of education in public diplomacy, and public diplomacy and diaspora in narratives and sentiments.

Soraya is currently the Events & Programming Assistant with the Center on Public Diplomacy, USC. She is also a Research Associate with the Center on Communiation Leadership & Policy on human trafficking.

She has a Masters degree in Science and Environmental Journalism from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication (Journalism) from MARA University of Technology, Malaysia.
