Soroptimist Union of Kenya

Soroptimist International Union of Kenya (SIUK) is a service organization of professional women building a better world for women and children through AWARENESS, ADVOCACY and ACTION. We are committed to a world where women and girls together achieve their individual and collective potential, realize aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities locally and worldwide. SI comprise of four Federations i.e. SI Americas, SI Europe, SI Great Britain and Ireland and SI South West Pacific. SI Union of Kenya is one of the unions affiliated to SI Europe Federation. A fifth federation - SI Africa Federation, is in formation.

The Soroptimist International Union Of Kenya registered as a Community Based Organization under the Ministry of Gender, Culture, and Social Services. It is a voluntary and charitable organization that provides support to rural and urban women through practical projects. It is currently made up of twelve clubs; i.e. SI Nairobi, SI Nakuru, SI Kakamega, SI Eldoret, SI Milimani, SI Karen Blixen, SI Kisumu, SI Kisumu-Winam, SI Mumias, SI Maseno, SI Mombasa and SI Meru.
