Thank you so much for taking the time to visit Stush! I decided to create this blog as a way to explore my passions and express myself creatively. I wanted to have a place where I could share my love of fashion, food, and all things fabulous. When I was younger a lot of kids would make fun of the way I dressed or the way I acted, they would tell me I was stuck up or bourgeois. I was even awarded the title of “Weirdest” in my graduating class. Some people might have been hurt by such a title, but I always wore it with pride. All schools in The Bahamas had a uniform and so freedom of fashion expression was very limited. I couldn’t wait for personal clothes days when I could wear an outfit I’d spent weeks planning. What was just a jeans and t-shirt day to some was a day of fashion reckoning to me. And yes, the other kids did have their opinions about my wardrobe choices, but for some reason I reveled in the phrase “only you could wear that Kristina”. And now that those uniform days have passed I realize that those personal clothes days were just the start of what would become an every-evolving style obsession.
