A little girl long ago with a diary at hand, divulging secrets I would not dare disclose to my diary at this age. I surprise myself everytime I flip through those pages. I was a bit perplexed by my self-imposed “absolute honesty” policy. That Diary was my clandestine and consequently my writing became an obsession, something that I enjoyed doing daily, a safe haven, writing fulfilled me, it became a passion.—and that was early as perhaps 10 years old. My fifth grade teacher wrote in my yearbook, “You’re a great writer, never give it up.” -Thus here I am, 21 years later, trying to realize this little girl’s vision of becoming a writer one day. So I flew to New York City! Where else but NYC could a proud, stubborn writer live to get away from the life -sapping superficiality of Miami?
