Soumya’s first initiation in invention and entrepreneurship began in his early college days, when he wrote and sold an utility program to lease new life to physically damaged floppy disks, followed by writing a visual microprocessor simulator and cross assemblers for engineering students of BIT Mesra and University of Calcutta. He raised pocket money as a student by publishing a monthly electronics and photography hobby magazine at Calcutta and designing and making hobby electronics kits for his readers. Soumya has extensive experience as product management executive, leading software product development, coaching and mentoring high-performance agile team and product management of mission-critical enterprise, mobile and industrial internet applications. In 2011, Soumya has founded “Mitra” based on his patented invention on psychoacoustic imagery and created a revolutionary product “3D Mic Pro”, which allows anyone to record ultra-realistic surround sound in any camera or audio recorder for any production: YouTube streaming video - feature film. It took the early adopters across the world by storm, famous production houses like National Geographic filmmakers, New York Times, Red Bull Media Studio, uses 3D Mic in their production.
