As a freshman in high school, I decided that I wanted to leave a mark in my community by addressing an issue that is facing our society today. The issue that there are not many women in leadership roles around the world. If half of the human population is woman shouldn't around half of the positions in leadership be occupied by woman as well? Keeping this in mind I created a club with ethnic and social diversity within its members who are all united by one common goal. The goal to empower women to reach their full potential.

I have put some thought into what I want to do in my future and I narrowed it down to two paths that speak to me. That would be politics and computer science. These two fields really impact the lives of so many people. Science and technology is expanding at an incredible pace causing it to mold into people’s everyday lives. I would love to be a part of that revolution and bring other girls with me, but I would also like to be in politics in order to directly help to change the world for the betterment of humanity. My goal is to bring them together so they can work hand in hand to push society in the right direction.
