Sounds Great Music based in South Manchester at Herald Green, is one of the biggest manufacturers of boutique guitar and effects. We also offer a huge range of pianos, keyboards, orchestral instruments and accessories. Since 1977, our retail shop has been the valuable source of musical instruments and accessories. We stock over 2500 different range from the leading brands and take immense pride in our knowledge and expertise in the industry.

In 2004, we were voted “Best Independent Retailer” and “Best Customer Service” in 2006 by the music industries association. We have also received the Fender top dealer award. At Sounds Great Music, we are dedicated to offer the best within the guitar industry. We are one of the first stores to stock PRS guitars in the UK and have a long standing relationship with Paul Smith himself. Our regular visits to the Namm show in Los Angeles have enabled us to import and distribute exclusive and unusual boutique guitars, amps, effects and accessories. Sounds Great Music offers a repair service for amplifiers and P.A through the respected repairs company GEE electronics based in Liverpool. We also repair service to your used and abused effects and pedals. We have also created on-site repair/workshop facilities for guitars, and brass and woodwind instruments.
