Soupitak Pal has studied materials science since high school in his hometown of West Bengal, India where he received high marks that enabled him to enter graduate school. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Science with a Ph.D. in materials science after completing his dissertation titled, “Microstructural Development and Mechanical Properties of Electroless Ni-B Coating.”
