Sourena Vasseghi
Los Angeles, CA
Sourena Vasseghi is an award-winning author, educator, and
inspirational speaker whose stirring affect on people has brought him national media attention and a growing worldwide audience.
Despite having lived an extraordinary life, Sourena is driven by the one thing he struggles to have— “the ordinary”.
Confined to a wheelchair and trapped within his own body, he lives his life always looking for the proverbial next step; while the severe cerebral palsy that limits his movement does not diminish his will or determination to enrich the future, it does prohibit him from doing the little things in life things that are often taken for granted.
Through his writing and speaking, Sourena shares his message of how the ordinary should be a gift that is embraced and shared. He believes the simple things in life should not be overlooked; Simple moments that are not usually celebrated for being as truly remarkable as they are, moments that are indeed the heart of the future.
After all, "without the ordinary…there would be no extraordinary".
Born with cerebral palsy, Sourena V. lives every day of his life with passion and enthusiasm. His story of triumph over adversity and his powerful tools for coping with change and uncertainty have inspired and motivated many to become reinvigorated with fire and passion, and to reach for dizzying new heights.
From a young age, Sourena didn’t want to lead a pedestrian life. The challenge for him was to deal with a condition that affects his entire body and every decision he makes. Since his challenges are so prevalent, Sourena had to develop a unique outlook on life, resulting in philosophies that can be implemented in any personal situation.
Sourena has been a featured TEDx speaker and has also appeared on NBC, ESPN, nationally syndicated talk shows, and in print venues such as the Los Angeles Times and the Los Angeles Business Journal.
