Charlotte M. Sousa

Focused on development, leasing and sales/acquisitions and management of shopping centers. Mrs. Sousa is the fourth Real Estate Broker in a family of five Realtors spanning three generations. Licensed at 21 in 1966, she studied law at USC and was a Broker for 18 years in California. Spanish is her second language.

In 1978, she founded DELTA NATIONAL COMMERCIAL FINANCIERS, also in California. That firm was successfully operated until 1981, when she and husband Walt relocated to Detroit. (Mr. Sousa is a double-degreed Electro-Mechanical and Electronics Engineer who was a team member that built the original 1953 Corvette prototype vehicle in 1951, then pursued a notable career in pressure sensing electronics. He is also a grand-nephew of march composer John Philip Sousa.) The only period that Charlotte worked outside Real Estate was alongside Walt to fabricate and market electronic sensors for automotive, aviation, military and industrial process controls. She served as CEO for eight years. Her markets covered Europe, South America and Australia.

From 1997 to the present, Mrs. Sousa has been fully involved in Commercial Real Estate in Clark County, NV. She was privileged to have been mentored by David M. Frank of NewMark Merrill Companies. They produced nine retail centers in the Las Vegas Valley, leased them to capacity, then sold each. She continued serving other developers to complete three more centers "out of the ground." Continuously a specialist at Retail Leasing, she is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Charlotte also markets distressed assets for Nevada's largest community bank. She proudly continues a commercial alliance with THE MERRILL GROUP OF COMPANIES as part of its Fee Asset Management Team, addressing Retail Leasing, Property Management, Site Selection, Due Diligence, Remediation, Receiverships and Investments.
