Born and raised in the small town of Marion, South Carolina, Calvin Jaquan Reed "ConSCious" endured many hardships. These hardships would create a vision that was, and is undeniable. At age 4, ConSCious discovered his love and talent for music while riding in the back seat of his moms car, singing to every song on the radio. This sparked his mom to push him to the greatness she knew he possessed. As years went by, ConSCious grew introverted and shy, due to his parents break up, which caused him to not show his talents. Though he always kept a note book close by writing songs about the adversity in which he faced. By age 13 ConSCious felt the need to express himself more, and after a talk with an older cousin, whom was a rapper at the time, he would go to his house every weekend to record, and free his thoughts of pain and dispair. After about a year of recording there, his mom stopped him from doing so after she found out that his cousin sold drugs. She didnt want her son to be caught in that life style. So for about 4 years, ConSCious went without recording. That didnt stop him from writing and working on his craft. By age 18, after graduating from high school, he finally got his own laptop, in which he would download beats, and recorded using the built in mic on the computer. Due to the amount of noise in his home, ConSCious would record in his moms car to get as close to a great sound as possible. After months of doing this he got a new laptop, and a mic and has been recording great music since, in which he used to create 3 sited projects, (Mental Illness) (Generation Wh(Y) and (Lost My Thought) which can be found on WWW.
