On my Before You Follow, I've listed the following as one of the restrictions on followers:
- - You associate with Twitter user @/katemxrsh, who I know as Ebenbut seems to currently go by Ryou or Amelie. Right off the bat, one of their name choices is appropriative of my own culture, but beyond that, they have been extremely toxic and unsafe for me. Why is this? I'm going to tell you.
A couple years ago, I befriended Eben, who was a close friend of Sky's. Eben acted extremely trusting of me very quickly, which I've started to see as a red flag, but didn't think anything of at the time. I let them follow my vent accounts, etc. When Sky and I hit a really rough patch soon after, Eben was trying to reassure me a bit. However, we soon discovered that Eben had been tweeting about things from vent accounts with other people. I was still trying to process what was going on because the whole situation with everyone involved was a mess, so I unfriended Eben on Facebook (which I never used to talk to them with in the first place) and I think unfollowed their Tumblr. I planned to slowly add more distance, in case they decided to apologize so I could re-follow. They sent me a string of messages on Twitter the morning after, saying that they understood I've made my decision, or something like that. I don't remember who unfollowed who on Twitter first, but the next thing I knew, they were saying they'd been threatened by us (Sky and me), that we were being toxic, etc. After no longer talking to us, they were continuing to check on my blog, follow friends of mine, etc., and I asked them to leave us alone, to which they acted very defensively.
Basically, within a couple days, they did a complete 180, saying that we were doing everything of which they were actually guilty.
Knowing that they're so quick to twist the truth and use other people to try to keep tabs on me, I can't allow them near at all.
