I'm not your average product manager.

Of course, I have the passion for knowing my products and users (from building to shipping), tenacity to pick things up and follow through as they come, and be on the same wavelength as everyone in the team. But I'm also an avid programmer, community builder, and active listener (and pretty good party planner, so I've been told).

Product management is the art of knowing what to build.

I believe that we, as product managers, should look at the system as a whole and take a step back from the requirements process-all the way through from the customer problem we are trying to solve, to asking which brand positioning our company has or is developing, and which story we would like our customers to hear and say. Then, work backwards to build that kind of product.

Software development is a team sport.

My varied experiences with companies of all stages has afforded me the unique and valuable capability of contributing to all areas of the business, from operations and sales to product management and software development. I don't care about titles or prestige; I care about getting the job done effectively, efficiently, and in a manner that generates quantifiable ROI, results in a great product hitting the market, and can be scaled with the business.

In short, I'm a flexible, open-minded, and dedicated creator and facilitator. I care about what I make and help to make, and it is that unyielding commitment and passion that fuels my drive to build great products.
