Phila Soyikwa

Student teacher and Educational enthusiast in Johannesburg

I am a third-year Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg. My teaching philosophy is grounded in humanism; emotional well-being, personal growth, and self-esteem are the foundation of academic success. I believe education flourishes in a supportive, inclusive environment where every learner feels safe and capable of unlocking their fullest potential.

As an ICT student, I am passionate about integrating technology into theory-heavy subjects like Business Studies, my first major, especially for rural learners often left behind by the digital divide, to show them that technology is a practical tool that simplifies concepts and helps them adapt to change.

Through Work Integrated Learning and tutoring, I have already put this into practice, applying humanistic principles while using technology-driven strategies. I aim to be an educator who bridges empathy and innovation.
